Year 5 look into “Freedom” and what it means to be free. The I have a dream speach by Martin Luther King Jr has changed the world and year 5 have made a video to show their feeling towards this historical event.

Year 5MM and 5AC went to The International Slavery Museum in order to explore their Big question on ‘Freedom’.

My bacteria is called Sanareitus. The symptoms of this disease are; big red boils will appear on your tongue. As soon as these appear you must go and see a doctor straight away! Eventually if not seen to your boils will turn green and pop in your mouth, these will be replaced by horrible white wriggly things that will look like maggots. When you get rid of them they will have eaten through your tongue and will leave in its place sticky yellow dints. It will leave a revolting taste in your mouth. After this your teeth will fall out and then the virus will rise up to your eyes. It will pass through your nose which will make your nose swell at the nostrils. Eventually the virus will reach your eyes. Soon orange spots will form on your eye ball and in a few days time your eye will turn to liquid and dribble out of your sockets. If you still haven’t done anything about this you are in serious trouble. You will suddenly feel very ill with headaches and a habit of throwing up whenever you’ve eaten anything. No food will come to your body and you will then die of starvation. The bacteria lives in snow. That is where you will catch it. The only cure for this is to pour boiling hot water in your mouth. The bacteria will die if too hot. Its either die of starvation or have a very burnt sore mouth….

Year 6 have been designing their own holiday homes. We used Google SketchUp to do this. We learnt how to space items out, how a design of a home works, measurements and materials.
